Provides access to the following frequently used tab groups:
Communication
Site Manager
Press the upper half of the Site Manager button to display the Site Manager dialog, which is used to create new and manage existing FTP sites. Or, press the lower half of the Site Manager button to display a list of existing sites to open in the current workspace.
Connect
After selecting a site tab in the current workspace, use the Connect button to toggle the connection on/off. The icon on the button will change to indicate the current connection state.
Quick Connect
Host Name/IP
Enter Host Name or IP Address of the FTP host. To remove an entry from the list, press the drop-down arrow and click the X (Remove) button next to the entry.
Port
Enter the TCP port of the FTP host. If a port is not provided, the default of 21 is used, unless SFTP is selected as the Host Type, then it defaults to 22.
Username
Enter the username for logging into the FTP host. If not provided, user is prompted for the username upon attempting to connect. Select Anonymous to connect to a host that allows for anonymous connections and does not require a password.
Host Type
Select one of the following, where FTP is the default:
- FTP
- FTPS (Implicit TLS/SSL)
- FTPES (Explicit TLS/SSL)
- SFTP (SSH)
Password
Enter the password for logging into the FTP host. If not provided, user is prompted for the password upon attempting to connect.
Start Connection
Press the Start Connection button to open a new site tab using the provided Quick Connect parameters. Optionally, press the Enter key on the keyboard to perform the Start Connection action.
Add Configuration
Opens the Site Manager with the provided Quick Connect parameters, allowing the user to save as a new site.
Organize
Move To
Moves currently selected items to the chosen location. Provides a list of up to 15 recent locations to choose from, or select Choose location... to browse for a location to move to.
Copies currently selected items to the chosen location. Provides a list of up to 15 recent locations to choose from, or select Choose location... to browse for a location to copy to.
Delete
Deletes the currently selected items after confirmation. The Ctrl+D key combination may also be used to perform a delete operation.
Rename
Renames the currently selected item. Pressing F2 on the keyboard, or clicking on an already selected file or folder may also be used to perform a rename operation.
New Folder
Creates a new folder in the specified location. The Ctrl+Shift+N key combination may also be used to perform a new folder operation.
Explorer
Cancel
Cancels the current operation.
Refresh
Refreshes the currently selected folder and it's contents. Pressing F5 on the keyboard may also be used to perform a refresh.
